The syenite complex extends for c.55 km in an E-W direction and c.5-8km N-S.It is emplaced into Archean and Ptoterozoic sedimentary and igneous rocks.
The complex hosts some of the largest Au depostits in China, which are mostly associated with aegirine-augite syenites and monzonites, usually as Au-bearing quartz-K-feldspar or K-feldspar veins.
Individual deposits include Dongping Au-Te ore field, Shuiquangou Complex, Chongli District, Zhangjiakou, Hebei, China,
