Deposit: In 1920, the property was owned by crater mining co. Of NE W york, and was stakedin part over the old victoria group of the coeur d'alene-jarbidge g.m.co. Holdings, described on another sheet. The claims are on n. Extensions of the altitude and windy veins, and include other veins parallel to thses. Most veins 2-4 ft. Wide, but up to 20 ft. Wide developed by tunnels, drifts(about 150 ft. Of workings in 1920) ; info.src : 1 pub lit
Deposit type: Epithermal vein, Comstock
Geology: Part of the "east vein system". Footwall carries 1-8" of clayey "talcose" gouge veins are closely banded, occupying normal-fault fissures. A 17-ft vein has several parallel layers of relatively, pure adularia or qtz-adularia gangue. Adularia bands, stained reddish-brown with hematite and limonite are in sharp contrast to gray sulphide bands.
