Gold,copper and cobalt mineralisation.
Test mining of 5000 t of mineralisation from an open pit in 1984 produced 40.5 tonnes of Cu, 4.5 kilogrames of Au, 40 kilogrames of Ag and 9 tonnes of Co. The host rocks are lower amphibolite facies meta-andesite and intermediate meta-tuff. Metamorphic peak conditions reached temperatures of 545 Β± 30 Β°C at 1810–1800 Ma. The mineralisation is hosted by quartz-sulphide veins and shear zones that are up to 6 m wide and 20–200 m long, forming a set of subparallel, near-vertical, north-west-trending lodes.
