Tectonics: Passive Continental Margin.

Deposit: Thin sheets and wedges of heavy minerals along cross-beds and in local patches and streaks in lower wellborn fm arkosic sandstone.

Deposit type: Shoreline placer Ti

Development: Discovered during radiometric survey for uranium. Heavy mineral deposits yield a high gamma radiation anomaly. Explored 1954-55 by trans-tex expl. Co. By trenching. Usbm drilled 57 holes (1958).

Rock formation(s): Wellborn Formation
