Quaternary Pt-bearing alluvial deposit. The platinum group minerals (PGM) are found in association with native gold and copper as grains, ranging from 0.2 to 4.5 mm in size, in the heavy-mineral fraction of alluvium, which consists mainly of magnetite, pyroxene, chromite, ilmenite, hematite, with minor olivine, zoisite, epidote, garnets (almandine and pyrope), corundum, and zircon. The most abundant phase among the PGM is rutheniridosmine.
