This mine, formerly known as Wheal Gilbert, was worked for some time together with Wheal Tolgus. Its dumps are located on the west slope of the valley north of Gilberts Coombe. In 1859, it produced 173 tons of copper ore, 8 tons of black tin and 5 tons of zinc ore.
