A copper and tin mine, working chiefly the Greath South Tolgus Main Lode. In Wheal Tehidy, to the west, this lode was called Fortune lode. Between 1854 and 1869, the mine produced 16,500 tons of copper ore, grading at 6.5%, and 101 tons of black tin.

Not to be confused with South Wheal Tolgus.
