A phlogopite deposit located about 11 km NW of Behara. Grandidierite was discovered here by Danet Rafalimanana and Rakotomandimby around 1960. At the time, it occurred relatively abundantly in the dumps.

The grandidierite was found in a diopside-bearing fine-grained pyroxenite, a diopsidite, at the contact in the direction NW of the site.

Besairie (1966) gave these map coordinates for Vohibola: X= 137 and Y= 402,5 (Map sheet Behara).

Concession P.E. 2820 Lanoue.

Vohibola is, according to Grew (1996), probably the source of the grandidierite specimen described by von Knorring et al. (1969) and the NMNH specimen #121887 (labelled as coming from "Vohiboly"].
