Located a few kilometers East of Oued-el-Kébir, between Djidjeli (currently called Jijel) and Philippeville (currently called Skikda), a distance of around 100 km.

Mylonitized greisen sills and veins in metamorphic rocks (gneisses, micaschists, sericite schists, and orthogneisses) at the contact of a kaolinized leucogranite.
