Massive quartz - Au orebody accessed by the Henty Gold Mine.
Late Cambrian replacement deposit in Cambrian dacite and volcaniclastic sedimentary rocks of Mt Read Volcanics.
Gangue: Quartz, Dolomite, Chlorite, Fluorite, Pyrite, Sericite, Topaz.
Total Reserves (01/01/2001): 1,391,000t @ 10.3(g/t) (from MRT databases).
Mt. Julia is similar to the north (Zone 96) part of the Henty mine deposits but has a much lower sulfide content.
