Rübezahl mine; Grube Rübezahl

Drilled in 1808 in Mt. Sulica. First active from the middle XIX c. till 1860. Then, as "Liczyrzepa" active from 1948. Decommissioned in 1954.

Now inactive fluorite mine (adit no. 17), not far from the "Przygórze" uranium mine, and "locally" joined with. Surrounded by two fluorite-bearing heaps and few other heaps related to uranium mining.

After fluorite (and Cu-Ag) exploitation it was used as a uranium mine. The uranium-containing part is where an Underground Radon Inhalatory was (re)opened in 2002.

Local lithology: graphitic shales, mica shales, calcareous-quartz shales, gneisses, amphibolites, breccias. Fluorite forms veins with quartz.
