Heavy minerals in beach sand derived from the adjacent granitoid rocks of the Sithonia Plutonic Complex.

Thirty separate beach sand deposits of the Sithonia Plutonic Complex are acknowledged in Papadopoulos, et.al.

Coordinates are given for one of the beaches on the eastern side of the Sithonia Peninsula, however REE beach sand deposits occur all around the peninsula.
