Vague details are given by the source regarding this location. It suggests all three names could be the one location. The mine is located 16.1 to 12.9 kilometres south-west of the Abydos Station pastoral homestead, in a range of hills 20 miles south-west of Wodgina.
Thought to be part of the Pinga Creek pegmatite field. Satellite images show several alluvial workings, and a couple of old small pits, trending north-south between the Pinga and Egina Creeks.
The Leeds name probably comes from brothers Frank or Clem Leeds who owned the station for much of the first half of the Twentieth Century.
Simpson was shown gadolinite, tanteuxenite and polycrase, when visiting the location in 1927, some pieces from this visit now in the Western Australian Museum.
From 1951 to 1975, J.M. Henderson and Sons mined 37.15 tonnes of cassiterite concentrate as alluvial gravels from the Pinga Creek area.
