One of the largest chloride mineral sands deposits in the world. Located about 20 kilometres north of Gingin, and east of the Brand Highway.
Explored by BHP in the early 1990's. It is a large low grade 1 to 1.5% HM covering 30 square kilometres, mineralisation from near surface to 45 metres deep.
A 2012 maiden mineral resource stated the deposit contains 4.4 BT @ 1.2 HM for 53 Mt contained HM, including 43 Mt chloride ilmenite and 3.5 MT zircon. Ilmenite dominates at 80.8% of the deposit, zircon 6.6%, rutile 2%, and leucoxene 4.9%.
