Miniera di bauxite di San Giovanni Rotondo (Miniera di bauxite Montecatini), Quadrone, San Giovanni Rotondo, Provincia di Foggia, Puglia, Italia
Karst bauxite deposit at Mattine, near Contrada Quadrone, to the south of San Giovanni Rotondo. The abandoned underground mine was operated from 1936 to 1973 by Montecatini chemical and mining company.
Furthermore, bauxite outcrops are known near Masseria Ventrella, about 2 km to the south of the mine, and at Masseria Morcaldi, about 2 km to the southwest of the mine (Crescenti & Vighi, 1964).
