North Bohemian lignite basin.
Open-pit lignite mine since 1978.

Vršany (German: Würschen) is the name of a defunct village in the Most district in the Ústí nad Labem region. It was located at an altitude of 256 meters about 5 km southwest of the center of today's city of Most. The village was demolished in 1978 due to lignite mining. Vršany is not an independent cadastral area but falls within the cadastral area of ​​Bylany u Mostu, which is now part of the village of Malé Březno.
