A pegmatite prospected by the Commisariat á l'Énergie (CEA) in the 1950s situated about 28 km NNE of the town Ankazobe, North of the capitol, Antananarivo, on the left side of the Betsiboka River, between Maharidaza and Befanamo. According to Guigues (1955) it is located about 3,5 km NW of the Befanamo pegmatite. The pegmatite is located about 300 m east of the village of Miarinkofeno, close to a tomb. The workings, 6 trenches of 2 m each were done in the eluvials of the pegmatite (Guiguges 1955).
CEA extracted a large quantity of xenotime-(Y) from this site.
The coordinates are for the village.
